JP Amplifiers

Valve amplifiers and preamplifiers | Valve phono preamplifiers

JP amplifiers are built by combining ancient point-to-point welding techniques with the latest measuring equipment and a careful choice of valves. The constant research and knowledge acquired over more than a decade has resulted in equipment with the same aesthetic and sonic identity: a solid sound, without compromise. A deep bass, rich midrange without exaggerated exuberance, treble without any aggression or “roughness”.

Brutus

Brutus is a valve turntable preamplifier made up of two modules, the power supply and the amplifier, thus ensuring isolation for maximum performance. There are two basic versions, one for MC (moving coil) cells and the other for MM (moving magnet) cells. In addition to these basic versions, and given their manufacture, they can be customized according to the specifications requested.

The sound is dynamic, lively, with deep bass, a mid-range that isn’t overly exuberant, and treble that is precise but not aggressive.

Viriatus

The Viriatus arose from a challenge that consisted of building the amplifier using old-fashioned techniques – as far as the audio circuit itself was concerned – using the “point-to-point” soldering method, rejecting any printed circuitry on the signal line. The result was an amplifier with a (manufactured) audio output transformer, with a passband range between 10Hz and 40Khz, effectively measured at the device’s maximum power (40 Watts per channel).
